Dominic studied History and American Studies at the University of Manchester, achieving a 2:1. He later completed the GDL, receiving a Distinction and was graded Very Competent on the BTC.
Dominic has received several awards including the E Ivor Hughes scholarship and was the first ever recipient of the Communications Award from the University of Manchester. During his first six, Dominic won the 56th Hammond Cup, a mooting competition organised by the Nottinghamshire Law Society.
During his legal studies, Dominic volunteered with several organisations including Support Through Court, Clyde & Co and Brent CAB Employment Clinic.
Before commencing his pupillage Dominic worked as a County Court Advocate, attending over 500 County Court hearings including infant settlements, interim applications and small claims trials. Dominic also sat as a Trustee on the Board of St Vincent’s Residential Nursing Home, belonging to both the Care & Quality and Strategy Committees.
Dominic’s pupillage is under the supervision of Philip Godfrey.
Away from work Dominic enjoys playing golf, badminton and keeping up with the anguish of supporting Chelsea FC. When time allows, Dominic enjoys travelling to Southeast Asia to work on his cooking and scuba diving – the most recent trip being to the Komodo National Park in Indonesia.
