Legal and General Information

Client confidentiality and information barriers

Each barrister at Ropewalk Chambers is an independent, self-employed practitioner who is instructed on a case-by-case basis. As one of the leading regional civil sets, our barristers are often retained by opposing sides in the same dispute. To ensure that confidentiality is maintained, we operate a strict information barriers protocol, details of which can be provided to both professional and lay clients upon request.

Information security

We take the protection of our clients’ data extremely seriously. We were certified by the British Standards Institute (BSI) in April 2019.

The information security management system provides a structure of controls that enables our clients to place reliance on us in ensuring their data will be held securely and used only in accordance with their requirements.
