Personal Injury
We have a national reputation for excellence in personal injury litigation, having acted in some of the most significant actions in this area, with our barristers appearing in cases throughout England and Wales to the highest level and also in foreign jurisdictions.
The depth of experience in our Personal Injury Team allows us to meet all levels of requirement, from relatively minor claims to catastrophic injuries and group actions.
We advise and represent across the full range of personal injury claims, including all levels of road traffic collisions, Highways Act, slipping, tripping and weather-related, animals and equine, sports, product liability and employers’, occupiers’ and public liability claims.
We are highly experienced in matters of serious injury and fatality, including paraplegia and tetraplegia, amputation, brachial plexus injuries, spinal injury, brain injury (including those with pre-morbid deficits), personality disorders and learning difficulties, chronic pain, neurological damage and psychiatric injuries, amongst others.
We also assist with disaster claims, major transport claims, explosions and crushing incidents.
Our barristers are highly experienced in assisting victims of violent crime in seeking compensation from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority.
We are frequently instructed in disputes between insurance companies, third party and contribution proceedings. We have advised insurers, both through solicitor’s instruction and directly on matters of policy construction.
