Abigail became a tenant at Ropewalk in October 2025, following the successful completion of her pupillage under the principal supervision of Kate Longson.
During pupillage, Abigail gained experience in a variety of practice areas including personal injury, disease, inquests, clinical negligence and the Animals Act.
Abigail is growing a busy court and written practice, with a particular focus on personal injury.
Abigail is a personable and effective barrister who prides herself on distilling complex legal and factual issues into straightforward, accessible arguments. Abigail communicates with clarity and precision and advances her client’s case succinctly and persuasively.
Abigail read Jurisprudence at the University of Oxford before completing the BTC at Nottingham Law School. Throughout her studies, Abigail was the recipient of numerous awards, including the Harris Prize for the best performance in final honour school examinations, the Nottingham Law School Professional Law Scholarship for Outstanding Achievement and the Taylor Prize for best overall performance on the BTC.
Before commencing pupillage, Abigail developed thorough research and analytical skills through her work as research assistant to Edwin Peel for the 16th Edition of Treitel on the Law of Contract.
In her spare time, Abigail loves to travel. She also enjoys reading, pilates and going out for coffee.
