Sima has achieved a 1st class law degree from the University of Bradford. She later completed her BPTC in Birmingham and was graded Very Competent. She has been awarded the Inner Temple Exemption Award Scholarship.
Sima is passionate about advocacy and was the 2016 Champion of the ICLR Bradford Law School mooting competition and has further participated in the Oxford University Press and BPP Law School Mooting Competition 2016 as well as the BPP Internal Mooting Competition in 2018 during her BPTC.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Sima has worked as a paralegal in various reputable firms such as Berrymans Lace Mawer, Flint Bishop and Plexus Law. This has given Sima a sound grounding in the civil litigation process.
Sima also worked as a County Court Advocate doing infant approval hearings during the pandemic which was a challenging time for any advocate.
Most recently, Sima was a Legal Affairs Officer for a multi-site College Group; here she was the first point of contact for all things legal and was essentially an one-man team managing her own work. Within this role, she also sat on the Competition Markets Authority Committee as well as the Equality and Diversity Committee.
Away from the Bar, Sima enjoys staycations, travelling around Scandinavia (where she is from) and pottery whenever she is not running around after her toddler.
